If you are a programmer or if you have coded any time in your life, you must have thought about finding the right text editor for yourself. After all, that’s the least you can do for yourself. Look no further, Atom is here.

Created by the fantastic GitHub community themselves, the app was created keeping all the developers and text-editor requirements in mind. If we talk about Atom, you can customize pretty much everything and you can edit it however you want. You might be a little confused, but by the end, you will be in love with it.

Atom is a text editor that is hackable to its last atom, get it? It is a modern tool that you can use to code your way to brilliance and success. If we talk about what it exactly is, it is a desktop-based text editor application for Windows, Linux, and macOS, that you can use for code writing, use it with different programming languages, and take entire control of it.

What separates it from any of the similar apps is that it provides you with complete control over everything that you do. Integrated with a modern, yet minimalistic UI, you can start off by creating a new project or importing an already built one.

With Node.js internal integration, Atom shines bright. With Node.js’ support, you can start by importing any library or customizing Atom however you want. You can import C or C++ as well, straight in the lightweight editor. Integrating APIs and editing was never easier.

With Atom, you get a modular design. Not everything is built-in, since not everyone will need everything. You, however, can install anything you require. You can even go as far as replacing Atom’s packages with your own should you not like Atom’s. How cool is that, right?

You get built-in features like a file system browser, a fast search option for finding and opening files, multiple cursors, selections, panes, and so much more. All in all, if you download and install Atom today, you will find it very exciting and usable on the first day. Easy to set up and easier to use, it sure makes writing and editing code exciting again.
